The sanctuary of Delphi beneath the shining cliffs of Parnassus at morning, the temple of Apollo above a winding sacred way, pale vapour rising beside it.

About

About Threads of Pantheon

Threads of Pantheon (眾神之絆) is an original world and a long-term creative project rooted in ancient Greek mythology.

A world, first

It is set two centuries after the fall of Troy, in an Age of Mortals: the heroes are gone, the gods remain, and mortal cities are learning to carry what the heroes left behind. We are building the world before anything set in it — its history, its places, its gods and its unresolved questions.

The name

Gods, mortals, oaths, history and choice: woven together, they make the world. “Threads” is not a power or a system. It is a way of seeing — nothing here stands alone; everything is bound to something older than itself.

What we hold to

  1. I

    Myth is history

Greek mythology happened in this world. That does not make every song true.

  2. II

    The world existed before you

Cities have their own politics, cults and memories. They will not stop to wait for anyone.

  3. III

    No chosen ones

No one here is the prophesied saviour. Importance is earned, not granted.

  4. IV

    Gods, not heroes or villains

The gods are powers with domains and limits, neither good nor evil.

  5. V

    Mystery over explanation

Some questions are answered slowly. Some are not answered at all.

What comes next

The first interactive work set in this world is in development. No date has been announced, and we will not hint at one. Announcements will appear on this site first.

All artwork on this site is concept art for Threads of Pantheon.
